Happy Mother's Day!
My Theology teacher, whom I despise, actually read a really nice poem that I think is awesome for mother's day.
I forget what it said but it went something like, "Thank you to all the mothers, to...
The mothers who are expecting,
The mothers who have lost children,
The mothers whose children have grown up and left home,
The mothers who cannot bear children,
The mothers who have children and cherish them,
The mothers who do not want their children (that they may learn what a paren'ts heart is really like),
The mother's who have had babies for women who cannot have children,
The mothers who have given up children for the child's benefit so that they may have a better life,
The mothers who have adopted those children and have loved them as their own,
To all the mothers, may you always have love in your hearts, and know that your children have love in their hearts for you, their mothers."
Again, the poem isn't mine, and it didn't go exactly like that, but it was a nice poem to all mothers, to those who have loved and lost, and lost and loved, to know that they too are loved and appreciated.
I love you Mom. Happy Mother's Day.
